You have your first guitar but what do you need to do to start playing it?

Once your guitar is tuned and you’re ready to go the first thing you need to do is learn guitar chords.

There is no easy way to learn guitar chords and it can be a frustrating experience. It will inevitably be difficult to get your fingers to hold down the strings and it’s always a struggle to change between two chords fast enough to play songs.

Learning guitar chords is tough – no doubt about it – but with a few simple tricks and techniques you can save yourself hours of wasted time, energy and frustration

The number one thing you’re going to need when you learn guitar chords is finger strength.

I remember when I first started playing I had the strangest teacher. One of the weirdest things he ever had me do was to practice changing between guitar chords while I was wearing a skin tight pair of leather gloves.

At the time it seemed ridiculous but now I realize there was a method to his madness.

If you think about it, wearing gloves and playing guitar is difficult. The amount of finger strength required to hold the chords correctly is huge, but you know what?

This technique worked magically for building my finger strength.

Another key element in learning guitar chords is getting used to playing and changing between chords with a good rhythm. The key here is to remember that when you change between chords you don’t have to lift your finger too far off the fret board. In fact only a few millimeters is enough to change between chords.

So next time you’re playing ask yourself if you’re wasting time lifting your fingers too far.

When one mentions electronic book readers, Amazon’s Kindle immediately comes to mind. It is by far the best selling e-book reader, what few know is that there are many great alternatives to the Amazon’s Kindle. In this article, we will review the Sony Prs-505 and Irex Iliad, which are the greatest competitors for Amazon’s e-book reader.

Price – Among these three e-book readers, The Sony e-book reader, Prs-505 is has the cheapest price tag at close to $300 while the Irex Iliad is the most expensive at close to $700. The Amazon’s Kindle is priced at close to $400.

Screen Size – Although the sizes of these three e-book readers are about the same, the screen size are noticeably different. The Irex Iliad has the biggest screen size at 8.5″ whilst the Sony Prs-505’s is the smallest at just 6.9 inches. The Amazon’s Kindle has a screen size of 7.5 inches. I personally love a big screen and for all those who feel the same, the Irex Iliad is the way to go

Weight – The heaviest of all three e-book readers is the Irex Iliad, weight at 13.7 ounces. The Sony Prs-505 is the lightest at just 8.8 ounces.

Battery Life – When it comes to battery life, the Irex Iliad fared the worst with just 15 hours of continuous reading. The Sony e-book reader arguably has the longest battery life, where it can last up to 7500 page turns.

Design – I personally like the Sony Prs-505 e-book’s design the best. It has a sleek metallic casing that gives it a sleek and professional look. The Sony model comes in both black and silver. Both Amazon and Irex Iliad models have some plastic or synthetic rubber feel to it, which, in my opinion, makes them look like toys.

All in all for the average casual user, Sony Prs-505’s competitive pricing, sleek looks and portability, makes it the best pick among e-book readers. Amazon’s Kindle has a great selling point to as it is the only model among the three that has a free access to the Amazon.com bookstore. The Irex Iliad is the best pick for those who intend to get an e-book reader for professional use. By far, the best selling and most popular choice is. But there are other brands of electronic book readers that you might what to look at also.
